You are staying on the living floor of this characteristic farmhouse barn, adjacent to the old orchard. A place of peace and space, surrounded by nature along the centuries old Lingedijk. Sometimes you may see our Ouessant sheep grazing and in the distance small boats pass along the river Linge. Enjoy your stay.

Privacy

Garden, terrace and dogs
Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the wooden deck behind the guest accommodation (please note it can be slippery) or at the nearby seating areas. The owner’s garden (behind the gate near the gravel path) is guarded by two beagles, Bluff and Muis. Their mission is to escape. Therefore please do not enter this area and keep the gates closed at all times.

 

Heating
The living area is heated by a pellet stove and the bathroom has an electric radiator. When you leave or if it becomes too warm, you can switch off the pellet stove. When you return, it will quickly make the space comfortable again.

Using the pellet stove:
Press and hold the ON OFF button until the stove switches on or off.
Press minus to go to the temperature setting.
Set the desired temperature using plus and minus.
Refill the stove once a day via the lid on top.
For stays longer than 3 days, empty the ash drawer once the stove has cooled down.

In case of a malfunction, switch off the stove using the ON OFF button, wait 10 minutes and switch it on again. New bags of pellets are stored in the garage. Please let me know if you would like me to carry them upstairs for you.

 

Bicycles
Bicycles can be stored and charged in the garage on the ground floor.

 

Waste
Full garbage bags may be placed in the containers at the parking area on the premises.

 

Watching TV
TV is available via the NL ZIET app. Turn on the TV using the large remote control. Press the power button on the small remote control and wait a moment. Go to NL Ziet, choose Natuurhuisje HVA, then Now on TV. If you end up on another screen, press the back arrow.

Safety
The apartment is equipped with a smoke detector (smoking is not allowed) and a carbon monoxide detector. You will find a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen cabinet.

Please keep the emergency door in the hallway closed. A glass breaker is located to the right of the door.

Stay is entirely at your own risk. Any damage caused by guests is entirely at their own risk. All damage to the house, furnishings, garden, facilities or other property of the owner caused during your stay or by your visitors is fully the responsibility of the guest. The owner accepts no liability for damage, loss or injury, regardless of cause, circumstances or actions of third parties. This applies to both direct and indirect damage, including but not limited to damage caused by fire, water, storm, defects, accidents or improper use of facilities. By making a booking, you declare that you understand and accept this full exclusion of liability.

Please park only in designated areas. The owner is not responsible for vehicles. Pets are not allowed. Smoking, open fire and fireworks are prohibited inside and on the premises.

 

Inspiration for the surroundings
Something for everyone. Visit www.heerenvanacquoy.nl/omgeving or ask us for the best tips. Our number one recommendation is a visit to Fort bij Asperen for drinks or lunch. Dinner is available on Saturdays and reservations are recommended.
